Models...?

I'm not sure when it is, but at some point I hope you will come to know the grace the Lord has given us simple humans. This gift that never ends and provides all things. There is life there, and it is nowhere else.

There is this really important point in this walk with Christ when we open our mouths and speak of things glorious and true, powerful and freeing. However, fears, selfishness and other disruptive hindrances have slowly slipped the needle and thread through our lips, sealing them shut. Somehow, prior to this, we have fully convinced ourselves that we will live so Jesus like that people will just, "want what we have". Which is certain to work in many cases, but there is a time for speaking.

Yet we who are so determined to live like Christ rarely open the pages that boldly display His perfect character. If we are to be like Him we will certainly need the guide. However, we neglect it, and still expect to be willing and able to carry out such an appealing lifestyle.

I am not seeking to frustrate to bother, only encourage and possible challenge. The Word of God is not a option is it a deep deep need, and I am guilty of forgetting this. There is a work the Lord has called us to do, and we are slacking. Draw close friends, draw so so close.

-I want you to relaize some things about me before i go.

• I used the word we for a reason, as I am included.
• I believe we need Christ and a genuine relationship with Him in order to carry out anything He desires.
• I need your prayer for my devotion to His Word and His work.
• Last- I am grateful you have read this.

The Beginning of My New "Thing"

Since this site has given me the option to title my blogs, I will do my best to stick to the subject, so that you, (my wonderful, kind, and greatly appreciated reader) is not led on to trust the title only to find the words that follow have no kin to one another, and are in fact total opposites who have never even met.

So here it is- the beginning of my new "thing". I say it in such a way because I am a starter. Yes, I'm one of those inconsistent noncommittals who never understands that just because you start something new doesn't mean you've flipped the consistent switch and you now have the discipline to stick to it (whatever the new "it" is).
However, I really do feel different this time and just so you are assured you can come back and find new updates each week, here is my statement of commitment for you:

I think I am really going to try to maybe do this...sometimes.

:-) Commitment feels good.

So for my new beginning here is a guide to what you may see here:

• My thoughts and feelings on a news story here and there
• My thoughts on scriptures, articals and sermons from many different Christian speakers
• My personal understanding of scriptures or things I am learning
• An occasional video of me or things I find nutritious enough to share
• Poems or song lyrics that belong to me or others

But mainly this site was created to talk about my walk with the Lord and to encourage as many as I can along the way. All that being said, I hope you return!
